The studio

Simple Saint brings design and development together. That mix shapes how every project is approached: the way a site looks matters, but so does how it works, how quickly it loads, how easy it is to maintain, and whether it actually solves the problem it was built to solve.

The studio has a particular fondness for simple, purposeful websites. Not every business needs a complicated platform, a mountain of plugins, or technology for technology’s sake. Sometimes the best solution is a fast, beautifully designed static site. Other times, a project needs a CMS, custom application, ecommerce system, or a more complex technical foundation. The goal is to choose what fits rather than force every project into the same box.

Simple Saint works across strategy, branding, design, development, performance, SEO, and ongoing web consulting. For larger projects, the studio collaborates with other designers, developers, writers, and specialists as needed.

At the heart of it, the work is pretty simple: understand the problem, make thoughtful choices, build it well, and take care of the details.

The person behind the studio

Michelle Weaver

I’m the designer and developer behind Simple Saint. I’ve spent more than 15 years working across branding, visual design, UX, front-end development, and web engineering, from small businesses and creative teams to agencies and websites serving millions of visitors.

My background started in graphic design and branding before gradually moving deeper into web development and engineering. These days, I tend to live somewhere in the middle: just as interested in typography, layout, and how something feels as I am in performance, clean code, and how everything works behind the scenes.

I like solving practical problems, simplifying complicated things, and building websites that feel considered without feeling overworked.

Outside of Simple Saint, I’m usually making music, working on one project or another, or spending time with an assortment of goats, chickens, and other mildly distracting creatures.
